The Key Laboratory of High Energy Laser Science and Technology was officially listed in July 2012, relying on the Institute of Applied Electronics (affiliated unit), the Institute of Fluid Physics, the Institute of Chemical Materials, the Laser Fusion Research Center, and the Beijing Institute of Applied Physics and Computational Mathematics , which entered into formal operation in May 2014 through trial operation evaluation.
The main research directions of the laboratory: (1) New laser technology research; (2) Repeated frequency high-energy pulsed laser technology research; (3) Semiconductor laser technology research; (4) Laser crystal material technology research; (5) Laser damage Dynamic research; (6) Research on new technology of high-energy laser system.
Based on its advantages, the laboratory closely focuses on the urgent application needs of high-energy laser light sources for national defense security and scientific frontiers, adheres to the overall implementation strategy of "focusing on scientific and technological directions, condensing major scientific and technological issues and common key technologies", and focuses on key research directions. Innovative, cutting-edge and innovative research work has formed distinctive technical characteristics and significant technical advantages, providing strong support for the sustainable development of our high-energy laser business.
